Queen's University Belfast

The 2006 ESPP conference will be hosted by the School of Psychology, Queen’s University, Belfast. Philosophers, psychologists, and linguists who are interested in interdisciplinary work are very welcome to attend the conference. 

Sessions will be split between two venues. Morning sessions will take place in the Wellington Park Hotel, afternoon papers will be presented in the School of Psychology which is housed in the David Keir Building. The two venues are conveniently located opposite each other on the Malone Road.

Previous topics covered at ESPP meetings include spatial concepts, simulation theory, attention, reference, problems of consciousness, emotion, perception, early numerical cognition, infants' understanding of intentionality, memory and time, motor imagery, counterfactuals, the semantics/pragmatics distinction, reasoning, vagueness, mental causation, action and agency, thought without language, externalism, connectionism, hypnosis, and the interpretation of neuropsychological results.

17/8/06 Registration on Arrival

Delegates who arrive on the evening of Wednesday 23rd can register and pick up their conference packs on that evening between 19.00 and 20.00 at our desk on the first floor in the Wellington Park Hotel. Registration will then open at 8.00 the following morning, and will also be held in the Wellington Park Hotel. The morning talks are also being held in the hotel. Afternoon sessions are held in the School of Psychology immediately opposite the hotel, and those arriving after 13.00 should go there for registration.

27/7/06 Dinner Fully Booked

The conference dinner is now fully booked. Unfortunately, those who have yet to register will be unable to choose to attend the dinner. We apologise for this, which is due to higher than expected demand.
